Dear John, (John Merriman, Communications Specialist to NSC). Thank you for making contact with me following your talk with Robert Albert AO, RFD, RD of the Navy League last week. As Robert would have mentioned, I am the Editor in Chief of The Australian Naval Architect, the quarterly journal of the Australian Division of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA). The RINA is the premier institution representing the profession of naval architecture in Australia, naval architects being the profession specialising in the design, construction, maintenance and support of ships. They will play an indispensable role in our naval shipbuilding programme.
